Postcards
Our postcard formats range from A6 size through to A5 as well as panoramic formats, along with postcard wallets and postcard pads. We produce an enormous number of postcards each year for a wide range of museums, galleries and artists.
A low minimum production (200 postcards per design) allows customers to buy postcards on demand, and many institutions now hold little or no stock as a result of this service. Instead, they buy what they need, when they need it.
CASE STUDY: Manchester Art Gallery
Being able to buy postcards in small quantities has enabled Manchester Art Gallery to offer a much wider collection of postcards than they would have been able to otherwise. Additionally, the gallery now buys on demand, with monthly orders of what is required solely to top up stock in the shop. As a result, there is little or no stock of postcards in the stockroom, and visitors to the gallery appreciate the enlarged postcard offering.
Marcus Chase at Manchester Art Gallery is one of the most experienced retailers operating in heritage retail today. As he puts it: "the Cornflower service has enabled us to clear the stockroom of an ageing postcard stock. The vast majority of our stock is now on the shop floor, with a rapid stock turn. Our budget simply goes further, and our visitors have responded to the greater postcard range with a quadrupling of turnover in this product area"
